What
is
the
PRO-ACTIVE
South
London
Coaches
Pledge?
As
part
of
our
contribution
to
the
Olympic
Legacy,
PRO-ACTIVE
South
London
have
launched
''The
Coaches
Pledge''
- an
Inspire
Marked
project.
It
is
hoped
the
Pledge
will
increase
participation
in
sport
and
physical
activity
and
raise
awareness
of
the
role
of
coaches
and
the
impact
coaching
can
have
on
the
health
and
wellbeing
of
others.
We
are
asking
coaches
to
pledge
at
least
one
hour
of
free
coaching
to
clubs,
community
organisations
and
individuals
in
London
from
now
until
the
30th
September
2012,
the
closing
of
the
Paralympic
games.
We
have
set
a
target
of
achieving
2012
hours
of
new
coaching
activity.
In
keeping
with
the
Olympic's
coaches
can
achieve
the
Gold
standard
and
pledge
10
or
more
hours,
the
Silver
standard
and
pledge
5
hours
and
the
Bronze
standard
of 1
hour.
Brian
Thomas,
Coaching
&
Workforce
Manager
at
PRO-ACTIVE
South
London
has
said:
“Coaches
have
the
chance
to
be
part
of
the
legacy
of
the
London
2012
games.
They
can
inspire
others
to
get
involved
and
stay
involved
in
sport
and
maybe
encourage
others
to
be
coaches
themselves.
This
is
an
opportunity
to
really
make
a
difference”
Coaches
who
take
the
Coaches
Pledge
will
be
in
with
a
chance

in

profile

who
have
also
taken
the
