Disability Sports

Sport Kingston is committed to ensure that people of all abilities have the opportunity to enjoy and play sport.
Since October 1999 sports clubs have had to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ for disabled people, such as providing extra help or making changes to the way they provide their service.
These changes could be as small as ensuring that lockers and coat hooks are the correct height for wheelchair users or provide training for Coaches. Most of the changes are not difficult and just need common sense and looking at things from a different perspective.
There are many organisations that can support your club by offering ideas, information, workshops and other initiatives to help make your club inclusive.
If you cannot find the information you are looking for on these pages then contact Sport Kingston and we will do our best to answer your query.
If you are looking to set up or develop a disability section or simply need advice then contact the Active Kingston Team:-
