Is your website out of date because no one has the time or skills to update it?  If so, then KVA supports the Voice Website System which gives groups in the borough free and easy to edit websites.  Find out more about the system and how we can set up a website for you.   Training in using the Voice system will run on 29 September and 25 November.

Organisations can apply for grants of between £50k and £250k for facilities, skills or participation. Full details of the fund.


Grassroots Grants

Grants between £250 and £5,000 are available for organisations that are volunteer-led, have a turnover of less than £30,000 per year and have been active in the community for over 12 months.  Further information about Grassroots Grants

Royal British Legion is looking for a volunteer to co-ordinate the Kingston Poppy Appeal.  Full details of this vital position.

Unlocking potential new and diverse volunteering roles

The volunteering environment is rapidly changing, and currently there is an available resource of professional & other volunteers who are looking to be engaged but cannot find suitable roles. This workshop will explore the types of new skills on offer from volunteers and how your organisation could tap into these.

How to say ‘NO’ to a volunteer
10 November 9.45-12.45, United Reformed Church

Have you ever said ‘Yes’ to a volunteer when you really should have said ‘No’? This workshop will look at how to get it right at the start to minimise potential problems. We will look at finding the most appropriate solution to a problem volunteer and when the time is right to move them on.
