Training overview
Every child is expected to receive 2 hours of high quality physical education per week which we all hope continues well into the future. However, in many Primary schools there isn't a PE qualified person to deliver this which is why there are over 100,000 coaches working in the schools. The problem facing the schools is that these coaches don't have any real educational training or background.

What we offer

"Having recently decided to change careers and become a Primary Teacher (PE bias), I found the Paraprofessional Studies in Primary Physical Education course, at St Mary's University College, extremely helpful. I came away with the confidence and knowledge to produce and deliver well constructed, fun lessons, which will challenge pupils of all abilities. The continual support and assessment offered by St Mary's ensures your ongoing development is just as important as the content and delivery of the 3 day course."

"The paraprofessional course was a fantastic opportunity to stay ahead of the game in sport, highlighting the importance of delivering high quality PE meeting the attainment targets of the curriculum as oppose to rugby specific. The course also has provided the opportunity to generate funding and offer schools a wonderful and beneficial experience" |
